Meet Susan

Susan Tetterton is native to Wilmington, North Carolina, where her passion for design first began. As a child, making notes and sketches for her future dream home were among her favorite pastimes. Susan attended Appalachian State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design.
Upon graduating, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, and began her career under the guidance of one of the most renowned designers in the Southeast, the late Dan Carithers. Susan also has experience in commercial design through the Atlanta firm of Ferry, Hayes and Allen and enjoyed three years working with residential designer, Carole Weaks. In 2003, Susan started her own firm.
Since then, Susan has completed jobs in North and South Carolina as well as Georgia. Susan’s work has been featured in Atlanta Homes and Lifestyle magazine; she was a participating designer in the 2018 Home for the Holidays Atlanta Showhouse, and she was invited to be a judge for the Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles 2019 Bathroom of the Year contest.
In the summer of 2020, Susan returned to her home roots and started Tetterton Interiors. She and her husband have four daughters and two dogs.
